Truffle Season Finale & Long Table Lunch

Ongoing through early August, with a special event on Saturday 9 August
As truffle season draws to a close, the scent of fresh black Périgord truffles still lingers in the cool Highland air. Don’t miss the End of Season Long Table Truffle Degustation — a stunning shared meal featuring handmade pasta, local beef and duck, winter greens, and of course, generous lashings of truffle. Wines from the Southern Highlands are included.

AgriShow Farm Field Day
📍 Moss Vale Showground
Thursday 29 – Friday 30 August 2025
For something uniquely regional, AgriShow returns to Moss Vale with a two-day showcase of rural life, innovation and community. You’ll find live machinery demos, artisan food stalls, chainsaw carving, livestock displays and paddock-to-plate experiences.
This event is ideal for families, curious travellers and anyone wanting to experience the working heart of the Highlands.

“A Light in the Landscape” Art Installation
📍 Ngununggula Regional Gallery, Bowral

This immersive outdoor exhibition combines light, sculpture and landscape at the beautiful Ngununggula gallery in Bowral. It’s a unique way to experience contemporary art grounded in place and environment.

Space & Astronomy Talks with the Royal Society of NSW – Southern Highlands Branch

If your interests lean toward science, culture or philosophy, the Southern Highlands branch of the Royal Society of NSW hosts regular evening lectures open to the public.

Fitzroy Falls Lookout
📍 Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre, Morton National Park
One of the Southern Highlands’ most iconic natural attractions, Fitzroy Falls is just a short and accessible walk from the visitor centre — and well worth the detour. The main lookout offers breathtaking views of the waterfall plunging over 80 metres into the rainforest below.
The surrounding walking tracks are peaceful in winter, with crisp air, birdlife, and moments of complete stillness. A perfect morning or afternoon outing with a thermos in hand.
