Fitzroy Inn Historic Retreat is a Southern Highlands wedding venue in Mittagong, designed for couples who want an intimate wedding without losing the feeling of occasion.
Set within five acres of gardens, with heritage sandstone buildings, leafy ceremony spaces, boutique accommodation and a relaxed country atmosphere, Fitzroy Inn offers a beautiful setting for elopements, micro weddings and small wedding celebrations.
The Closest Ten - For the couple and up to 8 guests
A small wedding package for couples who want their closest people present without turning the day into a large event.
This option suits couples who want a private ceremony, time for photos, a relaxed toast, and either a small meal on site or dinner nearby in the Southern Highlands.
All accommodation for guests and the couple is part of the package.
The Inner Circle - For up to 50 guests
A proper wedding, just smaller.
This option is for couples who want the ceremony, the photos, the drinks, the meal and the atmosphere of a wedding day, but with a more intimate guest list.
With gardens, indoor spaces, marquee options and boutique accommodation on site, Fitzroy Inn is well suited to micro weddings where guests can stay, gather and enjoy the property across the day or weekend.

• Pay a $1,000 hold the date deposit. – this becomes your bond.
• Remaining payments are made in stages: 30%, 50%, and the final payment.
• Alternatively, please check out our available payment plans.

• Once your $1,000 deposit is received, you will get a booking code.
• This code locks out your wedding date and the night before to any other potential
guests.
• The hold remains until you request to open bookings, after which guests with the code can book their rooms.

• With each wedding we book out the night prior and the night of, for all 21 rooms.
• We recommend taking both nights, as it allows you to arrive, unpack and relax, taking
the opportunity to settle in and possibly have a pre wedding dinner. We have many
contacts for food vendors, either in house, or food trucks or local restaurants.
• Arriving the day before also enable you to start setting up the marquee with your
personalisation.
• Couples that only book the night of the wedding will have access to the Marquee from
7am the day of the event for bump in.
• It is also often possible to extend your stay to allow for an extra day to relax after your big day!
IMPORTANT:
To secure exclusive use of the property, all accommodation must be booked by
your group. If all rooms are not allocated to your guests, access to the property
will be limited to the designated event spaces and only during the approved event times.
If all rooms are not allocated and confirmed 60 days prior to the event, the
remaining rooms will be released for public sale. In this case, pre-wedding
activities—including early setup, prop placement, or additional access outside the
scheduled event times—may be restricted, as other guests will be on the property.

We suggest if you are having a smaller wedding, which is being held in the
conservatory that you book all the rooms in the main house, 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 11. This will
ensure minimal disruption from any other house guests.

• All room prices are nightly and are for 2 guests sharing the same bed.
• Schoolmasters Suites 7 & 8 are traditionally the bridal suites.
• The famous “Juliet Window” photo is taken from Suite 10 (also in Schoolmasters).
• Suites 1 & 2 (main house) and Apartments 1, 2, 5, & 6 are all ground floor - Apartment
6 has a fully accessible bathroom.
• Suite 11 has very steep stairs.
• Please refer to the accommodation list for rooms with extra beds, trundles, or the option to twin.

• Rooms are allocated based on the couple’s booking list. Alternatively, guests with the code can select their preferred room.
• We advise booking your own accommodation before allowing others to book.

Check-in is 2:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am.

• A complimentary breakfast is offered to all in-house guests, including:
• Breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, and boiled eggs
• Juices, tea, and coffee

The Dungeon is available from 10:00 pm until 12:00 am, unless otherwise agreed in
advance.

Guests not staying on-site must leave at 10:00 pm, unless attending the Dungeon afterparty.

• While our homestead is pet-friendly, we do have a few requests to ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests:
• A pet fee of $40 per pet per night is payable on arrival, or prior to arrival via phone.
• All pets must be kept on a lead while in and around the property.
• Pets are not allowed on furniture or in beds.
• Please do not use the baths or showers to wash pets; kindly bring your own towels and bedding.
• If your pet gets particularly muddy, the nearest dog wash is at Pet Barn in Mittagong.
• Please be respectful of other guests.
• While in the dining room or main rooms of the house, ensure your pet is with you and monitored at all times.
• A welcome treat and poo bags will be provided on arrival.

• No, we are a non-smoking, non-vaping establishment. If you need to smoke or vape,
please go to the top end of the car park. We have very sensitive fire alarms as we are a heritage building. If the alarms go off caused by smoking or vaping there is a $1000 fee that will be payable.

• Yes, we have plenty of parking available.
• We also have 2 electric car charging stations available for all guests.
